Saturday’s Son
Here’s my video for Saturday’s Son by the Sons of Adam. The Sons of Adam were one of those bands that failed to transcend the scene they helped establish, in this case, centered on clubs and venues located on and around LA’s Sunset Strip in the mid-60s. They mixed with Love and The Byrds and The Doors but when those acts moved on and up, The Sons of Adam stayed put.
This was the first video I did for money. It took two weeks which I now accept is how long it takes to make one of these. the Tyler one took a week but I don’t know how I did that.
The label sent me a load of photos and I found a clip of them performing in the Whiskey in 1966, part of a movie with Anne Bancroft, who looks stunning as usual. Obviously, I’m not allowed to use it but I kinda did, a bit.
It was while this video that Feat. Krugman told me about Single Wing Turquoise Bird and ever since I’ve wanted to pack it all in and go out on the road with a bagful of oils and film.
I really love the section with the fast cuts. This track is great for editing because it is spiky, sharp and angular.
